Kabul- The local security officials in Ghazni have claimed that the country’s brave and patriotic security forces have repulsed five coordinated attacks by the Taliban group in various parts of the Ghazni province.
The Media Director of Ghazni Security Commandment Second Lieutenant Ahmad Khan Sirat in a statement said the Taliban militants launched five coordinated attacks in Qarabagh, Deh Yek, Malistan, and provincial capital of the province in the past 24 hours, Khaama Press reported.
Sirat further added that the Taliban militants faced a fierce resistance from the Afghan security forces and at least 37 militants were killed during the clashes and airstrikes.
He also added that the Afghan forces have arrested six other militants after the attacks were repulsed.
The militant groups including Taliban militants, sheltered and harbored by Pakistan have yet to comment into the matter.
Ghazni is among the relatively volatile provinces in the Southeast where the terrorist groups, including Taliban militants have been conducting terrorist and destructive activities. On the other hand, the brave and patriotic Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have been chasing them in mountains and valleys across the country.
